Set to release on April 16th, 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 will push how we experience first-person RPGs in an immersive open world where a players choice matters, decisions come on the fly, and how you approach every encounter depends purely on the choices made by the player. Also, Keanu Reeves.

Now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, CD Projekt RED has revealed that their upcoming title will require a minimal of 80GB of disk space for those looking to explore the futuristic strings of 2077.

The game will weigh in slightly larger than Xbox One’s Halo: The Master Chief Collectionand even Day’s Gone on PlayStation 4. The game will seek to fully take advantage of the Xbox One X by using the consoles 4K capabilities and presenting Xbox One X users with an unforgettable 4K experience.

It hasn’t been outlined by CD Projekt RED how Cyberpunk 2077 will take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s capabilities. With the native 4K resolutions for Xbox One X, it’s not quite clear how much data the Xbox One X version of the game will require, but if the 4K resolutions and HDR features tell us anything, it could exceed the 80GB requirement of the PlayStation 4 version and easily hit around 100GBs of space.

Due to the size, we’ve already begun to scope out some big-time hard drives both portable and non-portable for the upcoming title as it doesn’t seem games will be getting any smaller moving forward. While the games file size does seem like something to fret about, we already know the game isn’t done and file-size and optimization work is still being figured out as CD Projekt RED won’t let this game go unpolished.
